Acorns
On december 19th Odysseus and Eumaios left the farm at noon, that is around 12:30, when the sun is at it's highest and cold isn't an issue anymore. With visiting friends I walked this area more then once to find the route.

Oak leaves as I know them
Our first problem is finding the oaks. Not a single tree looks like an oak as we know it. But, we found a long kind of acorns by the thousands, wasted on the roads. It took a while to determine the trees that bears them. Its tiny leaves look like holly. It is a special oak that grows around the Mediterranean Sea only. It's mere a bush than a tree. The name is Quercus coccifera, in Greek Pournari. Our host Ioannis told us that pigs like them very much.
