Telemachos in the serie Odysseus

Amphinomos, one of the leaders of the suitors toasted to him and Odysseus replied:

.... I see the suitors doing foolish things -wasting wealth and disrespecting the wife of a man who I don't think will be long away from his friends and the land of his fathers. No, he is near! ..... .... Amphinomos went through the house sorrowful at heart, bowing his head, for his spirit foresaw evil.

Amphinomos now realizes that Odysseus' possible homecoming one of these days is an imminent danger.
But why now, why these days, why this year?
Penelope likes to speak her son about what happend to Iros and her housemaid Eurynomê said:

Penelope came down from her upper chamber to the suitors in the hall, addressing her son:

Now your son has come of age. You prayed to the gods to see him grow a beard!

I don't think that you have your wits about you, as once you did. When you were a child you were better at devising clever counsel. Now that you are big and have come to the full measure of youth, so that someone who looked only at you stature and good looks -one from a far country- would say that you were the offspring of a wealthy man- but now your thinking is no longer correct, nor your cast of mind! I mean, what is this going on in the halls? You allowed a stranger to be abused in this fashion?

Telemachos answers:

My mother, I do not blame you for being angry. But I know and understand some things in my heart -what is good and what is evil, whereas before I was a child.

Telemachos has come to the full measure of youth.
