Nausikaä
Nausikaä, how is it that your mother bore you to such a careless girl? Your bright clothes are lying there all uncared for, yet your marrige time is nearing,
Clearly, Nausikaä is just a typical teenager with a messy room, clothes lying all over the place. The next morning she decides to take some action:
Papa dear, do you think you could fit out a wagon, high on wheels, so that I can take my fine clothes to the river to wash them?
So, Nausikaä goes on her way to the river, where she soon becomes acquainted with Odysseus, whom she invites to the palace to meet her mother.
Go into the city of the Phaeacians and ask the way to my father's house, great-hearted Alkinoös. It is easy to recognize, even a little child or a baby, could lead you there.
The queen introduces him to king Alkinoös, who invites Odysseus to stay in the palace till he eventually grants him an escort to his homeland, Ithaca.
