Agios Nikolaos Niras is a beautiful place, the fields are well maintained and farmers still work there. Huts can be found all around it. There is a strategical view over the sea and the neighboring islands Eagilips and Samos and the strait between it, were the ambush island Astreris is located.
It is no wonder that Laërtes wanted this spot for himself.
