Now there is in the demos of Ithaca a haven of the Old One of the Sea, Phorkys, ...
Meet the old one Pho(r)kys
Phorkys is the son of Gaia (the Earth) and Pontus (the sea) and is depicted as a monster with a fish tail. A monster that lives in the sea as well as on land, much like a seal does. Monkseals are common around the Ionean islands, though their numbers are low.

Additionally, the modern Greek word for seal is Phokis, so it's not hard to imagine the Old One of the Sea as a seal with a bold white moustache and eyebrows and Phorkys' harbour as a place where seals rest, a haven for seals. It just so happens the lagoon of Lefkada is not short of beaches, sand, food and shallow waters that would suit a monkseal rather nicely.
However, there's another candidate for Phorkys.
