On this map I've sketched the different viewpoints around Poros, towards Neriton, Phorkys, the Cave of the Naiads and Olive Tree Bay, formerly known as Syvota.
With Olive Tree Bay finally identified, I believe we've found all the waypoints 'Athena' specified.

Where will his 'Athena' lead him next?
It does sound like a smart idea to put your valuables somewhere safe. As he probably wouldn't have lugged it up the mountain, Odysseus must have taken another hour to return to the small harbour in order to hide the treasure. Then:
...Pallas Athena, the daughter of the god who carries the goat skin fetish, placed a stone over the door.
Brilliant, all we have to do now is locate a cave near the beach at Cape Lougi that has a stone in front of its entrance. How hard can it be?
