INDEX
City spring
Far end of the island
The far end can only be the south-west part of the island. It is a steep, rough and desolate part of the island, but a perfect territory for goats.
One of the most beautiful beeches is to be found here, it is called Porto Katsiki, after the Italian word for harbor (porto) and the Greek word for .... goats (Katsiki), 'harbor of the goats'.
The goats and the herders are still wandering around here. In winter time, when the tourists are gone, you can find the goats around the parking lot of Porto Katsiki and allover the mountain range in the west.

Nothing changed here in 3200 years!
