Pteleos
The next city on the list is Amphigenia, but there's no such town to be found anywhere. So, let's skip it and see if Pteleos is easier to find, which it appears to be, as there's a small village called Pteri that looks promising.

Though it isn't very big and it might not be the biggest city in the area, the name Pteri comes fairly close to Homer's Pteleos and it does seem really old, it exudes an ancient atmosphere, if you know what I mean.

Most houses in the village are ruins today, only a few remain in use. Some houses look restored and all over the village are signs with names of their owners, so people do still attend to it. A closer look at the stones used in the old houses suggests earlier use in older buildings.

Its location is spot-on. The view's very nice and there's enough land to provide for plenty of people despite the altitude. Perhaps it can at least help us to locate Amphigenia.
