In order to explore the last part of the route Telemachos might have travelled, we need to first determine to which Pylos he went, because as we've gathered from Strabo there's more than one Pylos. There's modern day Pylos in Messinia, there's a Pylos in Triphylia and a Pylos in Elis.

Cees Goekoop has shown us that, considering the maximum speed ships could reach in those days, it would not have been possible to sail as far as modern day Pylos within the presumed time frame. That leaves us with 2 Pyloses, the one in Triphylia and the one in Elis. As Homer refers to Pheai in the voyage back from Pylos this rules out the one in Elis. We'll therefore take the Pylos in Triphylia as our starting point for Telemachos' return.
Let's see if the waypoints Homer mentions fit our Pylos.
