Odysseus and Eumaios left the spring and are now heading for the market and the palace.
Due to redistribution of land a part of the road is now missing but, the rest of it is still there. It must have led directly from the spring to the city.
It crosses the road between the palace and the place of assembly near the palace. The crossing is a perfect location for the livestock market. Now we finally know Eumaios' pig route. We walked the complete route in 2 hours time. With Eumaios en Odysseus walking slowly for the pigs, it would have taken them 50% more. That will be 3 hours in total.
They left the pig farm at 12:30 so, Odysseus finally came home on the 19th of december at 15:30, well before the night gets cold.
It's a 20 minute walk for us and Melanthios from the spring to the palace and 30 minutes for Eumaios and his pigs. Eumaios and beggar Odysseus left the spring at 15:00 and so did Melanthios to arrive at 15:20 hours.
