For easier comparison, I've superimposed the construction plan of the palace of Pylos over the one I made of our potential palace of Odysseus.
As you can see, the size of the courtyard and the addition at the back seem to be the only major differences. All rooms fit perfectly within the palace walls, it's as good as a copy.
I think this is enough to assume that the estate could very well have been built on the foundations of a palace like the ones in Pylos, Tiryns and Mycenae.

You know what, I'm just going to come out and say it:
. . .we've found Odysseus' palace!
