Floating bridge
On May 16 we started our transfer from Vassiliki, Lefkada, to mainland Parga. We planned a route through Acarnania around the Amvracian Gulf.
We left Lefkada by the floating bridge over the channel, now the only cause of Lefkada remaining an island (good for taxes).
The peninsula opposite Lefkada is called Plagia. Our first stop: the 'Cleopatra canal'. The Cleopatra canal is located near a coastal village called Agios Nikolaos connecting lake Voulkaria with the Ionean sea.
